Picnic Day 2008
The best of UCDavis was showcased at this year's Picnic Day
On the morning of Saturday the 19th of April, Picnic Day commenced with its annual parade. ITS's contingent consisted of fuel cell, hybrid and battery electric vehicles. The parade ended just in time for the cars to return to lot 44 for our special event, rides in fuel cell vehicles from the California Fuel Cell Partnership and a static display for other advanced vehicles. In the 4 hours alloted for the event, 536 visitors took rides in the cars. Drivers hardly had time to eat lunch! As it had in years past, the event drew an enormous amount of attention from the 100,000 person picnic day crowd.
