Dinner With a Scientist
The PHEV program manager and I attended Dinner with a Scientist in Stockton.
Students from the 6th through the 12th grade were chosen by their teachers as they showed a high level of interest in science. They were extremely excited to hear about fuel cells, hydrogen (and other alternative transportation fuels), energy systems, chemistry and physics! It was a fantastic opportunity to open young people’s eyes to the world of energy from an engineering perspective. Though I only met personally with 20 students, at least 50 people saw the car as I displayed it in front of the hotel after the event.
