UCDavis Hydrogen Station: First on the Hydrogen Highway!
The UCDavis hydrogen station was built by Air Products and commissioned in 2002. Its major components include a liquid cryogenic tank which stores 1500 Gallons (5678 kg) of hydrogen at 20 Kelvin, -253°C or -423°F, a vaporizer, which expands the liquid hydrogen, and a compressor, which brings the gaseous hydrogen to over 35Mpa or 5000 psi.
The Series 100 includes 18 storage tanks, at 1kg/tank, for a total capacity of 18kg.
